Overview

Karvo LaunchPad is an independent desktop launcher and Fabric client for Minecraft: Java Edition. This policy describes information handled when you install, sign in to, or use the launcher.

Microsoft and Minecraft sign-in

Karvo LaunchPad uses Microsoft’s browser-based OAuth sign-in flow. Your Microsoft password is entered on Microsoft’s website, not into Karvo LaunchPad. If you sign in successfully, the launcher processes Microsoft/Xbox/Minecraft authentication tokens and your Minecraft profile details (such as username and UUID) to verify ownership and launch Minecraft. Authentication session credentials may be stored locally on your device, with operating-system-backed protection where supported. Tokens are not intended for public display or included in diagnostic exports.

Local launcher information

The launcher stores installation paths, Minecraft version selections, installed-mod metadata and checksums, Java/runtime choices, memory preferences, and other launcher settings on your computer. It may read Minecraft logs and crash reports in the managed game directory when you open diagnostics. Minecraft log content can contain usernames, server addresses, chat or other personal information; review logs before sharing them.

Downloads and external services

The launcher downloads Minecraft and Fabric components from official or project-approved distribution services. Those services may independently process your IP address and requests under their own policies. Sign-in connects to Microsoft, Xbox and Minecraft Services. The launcher may open the official Minecraft Launcher if you choose that integration.

Data sharing and retention

Karvo LaunchPad does not sell personal information. Locally stored application data stays on your device unless you actively share diagnostic information or a service interaction requires sending information to its provider. You can remove local launcher data and sessions using the application controls where provided or by uninstalling the app and deleting its local data directories. Third-party account and server-side data are subject to their providers’ policies.

Security and changes

We work to protect credentials by using Microsoft sign-in and avoiding password collection. No software or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. This policy may change as features evolve; the updated date will be shown on this page.
